where do we need to marry netherlands or belgium

where do we need to marry netherlands or belgium?
Hii everybody, my situation is like this > I am a dutch citzen and my fiance is a canadian, we wanna live in Belgium, we dont know only where we should marry?, we heard things like, marry in the netherlands but in the netherlands u need a m46 and wouldnt the NL think we wanna live in NL, which isnt possible so we wanna do the belgium route?, our first plan was, He arrives in Amsterdam on a one way ticket, and saying he comes to visit his gf and friends, i am dutch and will live in Belgium already, and we got friends in Germany, we would spend the night in Amsterdam and leave to my appartment in Belgium from there we marry?? Does anyone has some advice, i dont know what to do anymore:(

Well since your gonna be living in Belgium anyways why not the Netherlands? =)

In the Netherlands the rule is that you can marry in the Netherlands if and only if at least one of you is Dutch or has legal residence in the Netherlands. I suppose the Belgian rules are not much different. So given the situation you describe (you being Dutch living in Belgian, he being Canadian), you can marry in either the Netherlands, Belgium or Canada, your choice.
