what are the requirements to return to Belgium?
I am a US citizen and i resided in Belgium for almost 3 years with my boyfriend, whom is belgie which we were not required to marry cus i resided there under a live in contract cus i was with him. Due to a family emergency i had to return to the states. The embassy helped me with a one way ticket to the states cause i didnt know how long i would be here. Now i would like to return to belgium. Could i return on the same status without having to get married or would i have to marry him to live in belgium. thanks C

it depends on how long you were away for. Contact the Belgium embassy in the states for further info. None the less, you can always visit with your American passport for a short stay and extend the stay when you get there.
