Yes about 11 million people including foreigners live in Belgium and we are fine thank you. If your dad is not a national from any country in the European Union it will be very difficult for hem to obtain a work permit in Belgium. Employers are fined very heavy fines for employing people without work permits.

Belgium, Netherlands and the North of France are pretty similar to England. Similar architecture, similar weather.

Give me a clue and tell me your age... Belgium has a very complicated secondary school system and that is likely to affect you most of all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_Belgium Now if your dad is applying for the kind of job that would get you into an international school Bob's your uncle and you won't have a need for the above info Housing depends on where you live. No comparing rural to city or even Brugge to Antwerpen... Many houses and apartments have stone floors though, it's horrible if you ask me, we've covered ours with carpet and vinyl :-) Shops, lots of them and few of them are chain stores. Belgium doesn't have high streets as the UK does. Which brings us to the towns... no high streets but most towns have a designated shopping street. In the smaller town/villages you will still find a lot of small shops. What is there to do? Give us another clue. I will tell you that Belgium has a huge youth movement which many will join from a very early age and will attend on a regular basis. Many I know of attend sport, dance or music classes at least once a week. Horse riding is very affordable compared to the UK (11Euro for 1hour lesson). I don't cycle in Belgium unless I HAVE to. They got one of the worst track records regarding road safety in Western Europe...

What there is to do for teens like you is the same as there is to do in most european countries. Complication for you might be that underage drinking is not allowed in Belgium. Additionally you would have to learn one of the local languages.
