What's the maximum total value of products shipped from Europe TO the US to avoid customs/import taxes?
I live in Belgium and by keeping an order placed in the US under $28 I can avoid import taxes and customs duties. How is it vice versa, if say, I order European products shipped to New York?

There is no duty-free allowance for unaccompanied goods entering the US other than bona-fide gifts.
